Film and Photography
I have been producing, directing and editing films professionally for almost 10 years. I have made films for several WA and national based organisations including QLife Australia, ReachOut, the WA AIDS Council, Lifeline WA and Kitchen Warehouse.
My films focus primarily on the lived experience of LGBTIQ+ people and other marginalised groups. I have a passion for social justice issues and use the power of visual story telling to increase awareness and reduce stigma. I also have a lot of experience with event videography and photography.
Some of my published work includes:

Every year Lifeline WA hosts the Black Diamond Gala Dinner to raise much needed funds for their suicide prevention services. Lifeline WA delivers 24-hour crisis support that aims to prevent suicide, support people in crisis and create opportunities for emotional wellbeing. I have been fortunate enough to film the last two galas and will be filming it again in 2020.
November is Transgender Awareness Month! I talked to a number of trans people throughout the month to spread awareness of trans issues and experiences – this is Lex’s story.
Hear Nick talk about his experiences growing up, coming out as trans, and founding Trans Folk of WA!
For Trans Awareness Month, Robin talks about her experiences as a trans woman.
In 2017, the Australia government held a plebiscite on marriage equality; a costly non-binding vote. This was extremely distressing for LGBTIQ+ people, whose lives were thrust into the spotlight and put up for debate. In 2016, before the plebiscite was confirmed, I spoke to a diverse range of LGBTIQ+ people about the lasting negative affects the plebiscite would bring.
Sam talks about his experiences as a transgender Aboriginal man. This video is one of two films I made as part of QLife Australia’s ‘QLives’ Project, for, by and starring LGBTIQ+ people.
Sophia talks about her experiences as a bisexual person. This video is one of two films I made as part of QLife Australia’s ‘QLives’ Project, for, by and starring LGBTIQ+ people.
