Wanju / Welcome

I am a writer, videographer and communications specialist with almost 10 years’ experience advocating for the rights of LGBTIQA+ people and other marginalised groups throughout Australia. I use my lived experience as a queer, trans and non-binary person to connect with others, educate and create change.

I was raised on Wagyl Kaip Noongar booja (Albany, WA) and currently live on Whadjuk Noongar booja (Perth, WA).

I have a Communications degree from Curtin University majoring in Journalism and Corporate Screen Production. I have been running my own business and producing films for several not-for-profit organisations and social justice issues since 2012. I have had my writing printed in LGBTIQA+ publications and literary journals. In 2017 I started studying a Masters in Marketing.

I am passionate about my work and about sharing people’s lived experiences, including my own. I am available to provide services in videography, photography, writing, public speaking and LGBTIQA+ consultation. Please get in touch if you have any questions at stevie.m.lane@gmail.com.
