Filmmaking

I have been producing, directing and editing films professionally for 10 years. I have made films for several WA and national based organisations including QLife Australia, ReachOut Australia, WAAC, Lifeline WA, TransFolk of WA and Sexual Health Quarters (SHQ).

My films focus primarily on the lived experience of LGBTIQA+ people and other marginalised groups. I have a passion for social justice issues and use the power of visual story telling to increase awareness and reduce stigma.

I have also used my lived experience to consult on a number of film projects including documentary Girl Like You (2021) which is currently available for streaming on ABC iview and Netflix, and TikTok series Amy the Pirate (in production).

Girl Like You
Girl Like You is a documentary exploring the unique and challenging reality of transitioning while in a relationship. I worked with Directors Frances Elliott and Samantha Marlowe, and Producer Cody Greenwood (Rush Films) as a consultant on this film, using my lived expertise as a trans person and professional experience as a filmmaker.

Sexual Health EmbraceU
This is a health promotion film for EmbraceU, an inclusive online hub providing sexual health and blood-borne virus information for trans, gender diverse & non-binary communities. It documents a sexual health appointment with a non-binary person. It was produced by Sexual Health Quarters (SHQ) and filmed, end edited by me.
